ดนตรีป่า music forest is the new umbrella for the work of Catherine Thompson.

Shifting to the personal... rooted in finding an ever deepening connection to wild nature, as my work always has been and always will be, ดนตรีป่า music forest represents instrument making, songwriting, composing and other artistic work.

Instruments made focus on Shamisen, Cora, Igil, gourd bodied fretless Banjos and other hide-based instruments. In this new incarnation, I will  continue with song making, composing and writing. All of these various expressions interact with each other for me. They are essentially one and the same.
